Where most people start

Sound familiar?

Most of the people who reach out have already tried a lot of things. Here is what usually brings them in.

Food takes up too much room

Meals, macros and rules occupy hours of your day. You want the mental space back.

Training without the fuel

You put in the sessions, but energy, recovery and performance are not where they should be.

Conflicting advice

Every source contradicts the last one. You want a clinician who can tell you what the evidence actually says.

What I do

Three areas of practice

Every plan is individual. These are the areas where I do my deepest work.

Sports & performance nutrition

Fueling strategies for endurance, strength and everyday athletes built around your training block, not a template.

  • Fueling and recovery planning
  • Hydration and travel strategy
  • Return-to-training support
  • Team and coach collaboration

Disordered eating recovery

Non-diet, weight-inclusive nutrition therapy for disordered eating, eating disorders and compulsive exercise.

  • Nutrition therapy sessions
  • Rebuilding regular, flexible eating
  • Movement relationship work
  • Coordinated with your therapist and physician

Medical nutrition therapy

Evidence-based nutrition care alongside your medical team for ongoing health conditions.

  • Full nutrition assessment
  • GI, metabolic and cardiovascular support
  • Food allergy and intolerance guidance
  • Written plan and follow-up

About Katherine

Science in one hand, a cooking spoon in the other.

I am a registered dietitian in private practice in Reno Nv and Sacramento Ca. My work sits where the science of nutrition meets the ordinary business of feeding yourself well which is why I care as much about what happens in your kitchen as what happens in a study.

Sessions are one-to-one, unhurried, and built around your goals rather than a protocol. Most people come to me after trying a lot of other things.

  • MS, RD — registered dietitian
  • Private practice, Sacramento, California
  • In-person appointments and telehealth across California

How it works

Three steps to your first session

STEP 01

Get in touch

Call or email the practice. You describe what is going on, I explain how I work, and we decide together whether I am the right fit.

STEP 02

Secure intake forms

You complete your intake and health history through encrypted HIPAA-compliant forms before we meet, so the first session is spent on you.

STEP 03

Your first session

A 50-minute nutrition assessment, in person in Sacramento or by video, followed by a plan and a follow-up schedule.

Patient forms

Fill out your paperwork securely, before you arrive

Each form is completed and transmitted through an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant service. Nothing is sent by ordinary email, and nothing is stored on this website.

When requested

Release of Health Information

Only needed when your records have to go to another provider, such as your physician or therapist.

The first two are for everyone – please complete them before your first appointment. The third is only needed when records have to go to another provider. If you would rather print and bring them, call the office and I will send PDF copies.

Questions

Before you book

How do payments work?

This is a private-pay practice, so I do not bill insurance. Payment is due before services are rendered and can be made by check or cash, and there is a prepayment option as well as a card app for clients who prefer it. Current fees are set out in full on the financial agreement form, and I am happy to walk you through them before you commit to anything.

Are sessions in person or virtual?

Both. In-person sessions are held in Sacramento, and video sessions are available. If you would like video sessions, there is a short telehealth consent form to complete first.

How long is a session?

A standard session is 50 minutes. Established clients can also book a shorter 25-minute appointment once we have a plan in motion.

Will you put me on a diet?

No. I do not prescribe restrictive diets or weight-loss plans. We work on fueling, flexibility and a steady relationship with food, using the current evidence and your own goals.

Is my information secure?

Yes. All paperwork is completed through an encrypted HIPAA-compliant form service rather than ordinary email, and nothing you submit is stored on this website.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments cancelled inside that window are charged, and payment is due before the next appointment is scheduled.

Let’s find out if this is a fit.

Call the practice or send an email, and we will take it from there.
